Our week of Christmas 08'

Ya I know I am way late in posting, but better late than never and besides I have to tell everyone how great our Christmas was. Ok it has taken me more than a couple hours of posting this. I knew I needed to get it done, but it has been a crazy morning sick husband and busy girls. So sorry if it is not perfect, but it is done.
Well we started out the week with a really bad snow storm here at home so I decided it was the perfect day for baking so we made truffles, fudge mmm, turtle bars and Carmel popcorn and Taylor was the best little helper, she loves to bake, more than that she just loves to help.

Later that night I wanted to deliver the goodies to our neighbors, but the storm had put down so much snow that it was hard to get around the neighbor hood so Mark & Taylor headed over to a neighbors house for some fun in the snow. Rilee and I just hung out here, looking forward to next year with fun in the snow with both our girls.

Then Tuesday hit and we ended up running errands and delivering the goodies to the neighbors. Later that night we went with some friends to the museum where they had gingerbread cookie houses on display along with different Nativity scenes also displayed. Christmas eve I ended up doing laundry and packing while Taylor watched Rudolph over and over. Mark came home from work early and we finished packing and headed to Carey. A snow storm started as we arrived in Arco but we got home just in the nick of time. We arrived at my parents home around 8ish and just hung out and did the nativity with my hand puppets and opened one present. Taylor and daddy lovin the present. Then we all just hung out and went to bed. That night Taylor was awake for over and hour I think she knew something was up. Well morning came and with a ton of snow too. I looked out the window and where there was once a sidewalk, was no more. Well dad made us all breakfast before we opened presents UNUSUAL. I don't ever remember a time where we slept in and had breakfast 1st. Well after breakfast we headed to the living room and opened presents Taylor got lots of toys and fun stuff and so did we all. It is just great as parents to see you kids enjoy Christmas.

Well after the presents the work began. Mark, Brit & Cody got the shovels and started shoveling while dad got the biggest shovel, the Tractor and started plowing us out.

Well needless to say more family was suppose to come over but the storm stopped that. All roads were closed into idaho from utah and that was where family was coming from, in fact all roads were closed around us, oh well we still had fun.

My sister candace with Rilee.
Well Brit & Cody hooked up the sleigh with the horses and I hooked up the sled behind the sleigh for some more fun. Mark stayed and put the girls down for a nap. Well my sled broke on the first pull so we ended up going sleding the next day but just with saucers and Tyalor came this time along with my dad, brother and sister and her dog Jena.

Well as you can see we had a ton of fun, well we decided that we would hang around friday to see if the rest of the family would make it over but the roads never opened up so we decided to head home, well just before we got the car packed mark checked the road report & our roads were closed also so we spent antoher night at my parents home and then my sister was able to get thorugh sat morning so we saw them for a minute and then headed home. Here are my nieces with taylor and taylor helping mark put training wheels on her cousins bike.

So do you think taylor is going to be just like her dad, yep, she loves to build or "fix" things just like daddy.
Well after all the fun we finally arrrived home late saturday afternoon and we were wore out, but had a great time. Well Sunday after church we had Christmas with Marks parents. We had another great Turkey feast and then opened presents. I think the girls were a little spoiled. Marks Aunt Dianne sent both the girls dolls and clothes for the dolls and then Taylor got a view finder and Rilee got clothes from Marks parents. In addition, both girls got clothes and more dolls from Marks stepdad and girlfriend who came and visited us the weekend before. I don't know why but I have no pic, sorry randy and julie, guess you need to stay longer.

Mark & taylor enjoying the evening.
Well sorry this is so long we had a big week and lots of fun with family. Thanks everyone for making this christmas so special for our family. We love you all.

Ward Christmas Party 08'

So last Friday night we had our ward Christmas party. Taylor, Rilee & I helped decorate all morning and part of the afternoon. We had a great Turkey dinner and then we had a program followed by a visit from Santa, can you guess who Santa was? Needless to say we didn't get home till after 9:30ish. Thank goodness for great friends and awesome babysitters who helped us out with the girls at the party. Santa had a long line of kids to visit with and they were so excited. Santa told me that most of the kids asked for WII's and Playstations, but one asked for flowers for his mom and I thought that was so dang cute. We Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.
